朱毅:1983年毕业于西安医科大学,1986年在同校获硕士学位。1993年在瑞士洛桑大学医学院获医学博士学位。 1993-1997年先后在美国纽约医学院实验病理系和加州大学Riverside校区生物医学系做博士后。1998年-2003年在加州大学Riverside校区生物医学系任研究助理教授。 2003年底起在北京大学医学部生理学与病理生理学系任教授。多年来一直从事血管内皮激活的信号传导,脂蛋白与动脉粥样硬化形成的分子机制等方面研究,共在SCI核心期刊发表论文五十余篇。目前为1项国家科技部重大蛋白质项目首席科学家,并承担自然科学基金重点项目1项,科技部“973”基础研究项目1项。任国际心脏研究会(ISHR)中国分会秘书,《Journal of Diabetes》、《中华病理生理学杂志》《生理科学进展》等杂志的编委。

研究方向血管内皮的信号传导与动脉粥样硬化发病机制为主的血管分子生物学、脂代谢紊乱与糖尿病。目前进行的课题包括:1) 内皮细胞中代谢性核受体的调节机制; 2) 内皮细胞膜亚结构caveolea的功能蛋白质组学;3) 花生四烯酸代谢与心血管疾病调控;4) 血流动力学在局灶性动脉粥样硬化形成中的作用机制。
 
Education and Employment:
B.S. in Medicine in 1983 and M.S. in 1986 from Xi’an Medical University;  M.D. in 1993 from University of Lausanne. Postdoctoral training 1993-1997 at New York Medical College and University of California, Riverside; Research Assistant Professor 1998-2003 in University of California, Riverside, Division of Biomedical Sciences; Professor in Physiology since 10/2003 at Peking University Health Sciences Center. 
 
Research Interests:

Endothelial biology and physiology, including signal transduction in vascular endothelial cells and mechanism of atherosclerosis; the relationship between dyslipidemia and type II diabetes. Currently, leading projects include 1) Regulation of metabolic nuclear receptors in vascular endothelial cell; 2) Functional proteomics of endothelial membrane microdomain caveolae; 3) Role of metabolites of arachidonic acid in cardiovascular diseases; 4) Role of homodynamic forces in the focal feature of atherosclerosis.
