研究室概述:
 
以众多心肺血管疾病中的重要病理生理环节-肺动脉高压为研究切入点,从具有独特血管生物学特性的小分子气体入手,系统探索了内源性气体信号分子一氧化氮(nitric oxide, NO)及一氧化碳(carbon monoxide, CO) 在肺动脉高压等血管损伤性疾病发病中的生物学意义及其分子机制。开创性地发现一直被认为废气的硫化氢(hydrogen sulfide, H2S)是心血管功能调节的新型内源性气体信号分子,提出H2S 对整个心血管系统的调节作用具有普遍性意义,揭示了气体信号分子的整合调控模式。领导儿童晕厥及其相关功能性心血管疾病、血脂紊乱等多中心临床研究,显著提高了相关疾病的诊治水平。承担及在研国家级及部委级科研项目20余项。发表主要论著360篇,SCI收录75篇。荣获教育部自然科学奖一等奖、高等学校科学技术奖科技进步奖一等奖、高等学校科学技术奖自然科学奖二等奖、北京市科技进步一等奖、二等奖、宋庆龄儿科医学奖等多项学术奖励。
 
Research Description:
The main interest of the laboratory focuses on the gaseous signal molecules with unique vascular biological functions, targeting on the pathogenesis of pulmonary hypertension which is the key element of various cardiopulmonary diseases. The research group explored systemically the biological significance of endogenous gasotransmitters including nitric oxide, carbon monoxide and hydrogen sulfide in the pathogenesis of vascular injury diseases and their molecular mechanisms. The investigators in the group discover that endogenous hydrogen sulfide is a novel gasotransmitter in the modulation of cardiovascular functions for the first time. Moreover, H2S might play a important role in the regulation of all of cardiovascular physiologic and pathophysiologic events. The novel foundings put forward the research on the regulatory mechanism of gaseous molecules and pathogenesis of cardiopulmonary vascular diseases and obtained the great attention from the scientific peers. In the process of clinical practice, they conducted the multi-center national clinical study on dyslipidemia, the syncope and its related diseases in children and improved the dignostic and treatment level of cardiovascular diseases that often occur in childhood. The principal investigator conducted more than 20 major research projects including National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) for Distinguished Young Scholars, Key project from NSFC, Major Basic Research Project of China, and more than twenty national and provincial research projects. Based on the above outstanding innovative achievements, more than 360 papers were published, 75 of which were published in SCI journals, such as ATVB, J Hypertension, Hypertensive Research, J Pediatrics, BBRC, etc. Moreover, they got The First Prize Award of National Natural Science nominated by Ministry of Education, P.R.China (2005), The First (1999) and the Second (2004) Prize Award of Science and Technology Development of Beijing, P.R.China, Second Prize of Chinese University Natural Sciences Award (2001), First Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress Award of Ministry of Education, China (2007) , Soong Ching Ling Foundation Pediatrics Award (2007) and Third Prize of Chinese Medical Scientific and Technological Award (2005).
